Skype mette la quarta: disponibile la GOLD 4.0.0.206 per Windows

Sono 405 milioni gli utenti nel mondo e, proprio qualche giorno fa, si sono festeggiati i 16 milioni online contemporaneamente: questi gli impressionanti numeri di Skype. Oggi, dopo le tre passate versioni Beta, ecco finalmente la 4.0 stabile per computer Windows, anche se alcuni piccoli problemini sono conosciuti e in via di risoluzione.

Si tratta della release 4.0.0.206 che vede la luce dopo mesi e mesi di lavoro per i ragazzi di Skype che recentemente hanno fatto qualcosa, vedi QUI, anche per i computer Apple. Per chi non ha utilizzato le Beta, non fidandosi, ci sarà una netta differenza, soprattutto nell’interfaccia rispetto alla precedente versione 3.8.

Nel POST di Raul Liive una breve introduzione al nuovo modo di intendere la telefonia, migliorato l’audio grazie al codec SILK, e videotelefonia, migliorata ulteriormente la qualità delle chiamate video, in Rete. Per scaricare la 4.0.0.206 è possibile partire da QUESTA pagina. Ancora un po’ di pazienza per gli utenti Mac: la nuova GOLD 2.8, che seguirà l’attuale Beta, è in dirittura d’arrivo.
